They regulate protein and RNA functions and are more stable than other RNA’s.
In this review, the authors describe the properties of circRNAs, their therapeutic potential and technologies for their synthesis.
They also discuss the prospects and challenges to be overcome to unlock the full potential of circRNAs as drugs.
