What Is Bronchiectasis?

Genetic or non-genetic factors implicated in the development of inflammation, infection and widening of the lung airways leading to bronchiectasis.
Daily long-lasting coughs up to 8-12 weeks with phlegm are the main symptoms of the disease.
Treatments include clearing airways, exercise, pulmonary rehabilitation, antibiotics for worsening symptoms, corticosteroids/bronchodilators etc depending on the condition of the patient.
