The researchers in this study develop a rapid and label-free histopathological method based on metabolic fingerprinting of FFPE tissue using nanoparticle-enhanced LDI-MS.

The efficient method distinguishes malignant from benign tissues, identifies tumor subtypes, and assesses prognosis without specialized pathologists in a single test, offering a streamlined approach for clinical workflows.
